The village of Mirepeix presents two different landscapes: on the heights, it is a peasant village. Below, a canal feeds as early as from the XVIth century a small manufacturer complex which is turned into a real industrial area in the XIXth century. This route will lead you of the district of factories at the heart of the village. It's a way of discovering the rural roots of some of the most symbolic industries of the Pays de Nay: cotton, beret and paper industries.
